    11 days/10 nights tour which is recommended mainly for visitors who wish visit the way of living of the Ethiopian people by driving through the interesting villages of the Amhara and Tigre people, visiting the famous historical sites of Ethiopia which are registered by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites, including visit of the Simien Mountains National Park and still avoiding the least interesting drives by flying from one place of interest to the other.

    Day 1: Arrival + Addis

    Upon arrival you will meet us at Bole International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight Zesit lodge or similar

    Day 2: Addis Ababa

    The capital of Ethiopia and Africa is 125 years old .Its best weather and a hot spring is the reason for it’s Establishment.

    Began our tour by the National Museum a chance to see Lucy (the 3.6 Million years old Fossil), her ancestor and Descendant St. Mary Church and panoramic view down from the hill  to Addis Ababa .Lunch at one of Addis  Ababa Restaurants mostly Traditional but it is by your Choice. Taste traditional wine and Foods.

    And proceed to visit, Ethnography Museum (Emperor HaileSellasie I, give his Owen Palace to be the first University  in the Country, Now it housed Ethnography Museum which display the countries tribe life.), MERKATO-the largest open air market in Africa is full of  people and activity.

    Day 3: Fly Addis – Bahir Dar (Morning Boat trip & Blue Nile Fall afternoon)

    An hour flight from Addis Ababa takes you to Bahirdar (set at 1,830m.abovesea level)an attractive with tree -lined avenues.

    After check into the Hotel and refreshment, we take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit ancient monasteries. We will visit two of  the most accessible and representative of the monasteries, still serving their original function, Ura Kidane Mehret, and Azwa Maryam.

    In the afternoon we pay a visit to the impressive Blue Nile Falls, locally known as Tis Isat or 'Smoke of Fire’.

    Day 4: Bahir Dar – Gondar

    Drive to Gondar through the beautiful and fertile countryside on the Lake Tana side on new paved road  ,it takes 3 hours to Gondar on  the way meet people at their field and photo stop for beautiful scenery then proceed to Gondar and check in Hotel.

    Our visiting the city will began from Emperor Fasiledes compound, there are a dozen castles built by various emperors over the course of 236 years. The city seems more European than African and also has Islamic influences. We will visit Fasildes palace which is probably the most impressive of all the castles found in the area and the oldest one too! We continue to the bath of fasildes then to visit the church of Debre Birhan  Selassie(Light of the trinity)the Interior of this decorated with beautiful frescos , cherubs and paintings.DebreBirhan Selassie is rumored to once  have been the proposed  final resting of place of the ark of the covenant.

    Day 5: Gondar – Simien Mountains National Park

    Today we drive to the jagged panorama of the Simien mountain national park, famed for its exclusive landscape,afro-alpine vegetation  and unique wild life, where you may spot the endemic Wallia Ibex, Gelada Baboon troops, Bushbuck ,klipspringer.

    However as we stay for a day trekking we will enjoy the dramatic scenery and a troop-friendly GeladaBaboon at very close distances and birds such as Lammergeyer(bone braker),Thick-billed raven, white-colored pigeon.

    For those who intrest in hike/Trek we will trek about 2 hours on the edge and beautiful escarpment to view the beautiful  and green valley besides the Ginbar water fall, then picked by car to simen lodge.

    Overnight: Simien Lodge (the highest African Hotel 3,200m)

    Day 6: Simien Mountains National Park – Axum

    Early morning Depart north of Axum, enjoying spectacular views of the Simien Mountains after  stopping for the picnic, proceed driving through the dramatic Tekeze valley ,offering some of the best landscape  in the country. Proceed to Axum-home of the ancient Ax mite empire ,the Queen of Sheba, and the Ark of the covenanent.

    Day 7: Axum ( UNESCO World Heritage Site)

    Axum-the oldest city in Ethiopia, the Sightseeing tours include the Impressive stelae filds,the grounds of the 16th Century  cathedral of St.marry of zion, home of the original Ark of the covenant ,Queen Sheba ruin palace and Tomb of Kaleb and GebreMeskel.

    Day 8: Fly Axum – Lalibela 

    Fly to the UNESCO world heritage site of Lalibela –the Jerusalem of Ethiopia.Explore the first group of the monolithic red-Tuff  churches incredibly carved in to the rock, namely Bet Golgotha, Bet Mika'el, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel and Bet Medhane Alem.

    Bet Medhane Alem, the largest one, is built like a Greek Temple and its stone floor is so polished by the countless numbers of visitors that it reflects shafts of light from apertures in the walls high above. In a corner are three empty graves symbolically dug for biblical patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

    Day 9: Lalibela

    After breakfast Trek on foot or use a mule ride to the 13thc rock hewn monastery of Asheten Mariam.  The church is situated on atop a mountain at an altitude of 3,150 meters.

    This will take about 4 hours. We return back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit of the other groups of Rock churches of Lalibela Bet Giyorgis, possibly the most elegant of all the Lalibela churches, lies somewhat isolated in the southwest part of  the village on a sloping rock terrace. It can only be reached through a tunnel.

    The group of four, south of the Jordan River, comprise of Bet Emanuel, Bet Mercurios, Bet Abba Libanos and Bet Gabriel-Rufa'el. Bet Emanuel's elaborate exterior is much  praised by art historians.

    Day 10: Excursion in Lalibela

    This morning you will have excursion trip to the cave-built up church of Ne’akuto le’ab  (13th Century A.D)which is Famous for its wide collection of ancient crosses, manuscripts  and icons if today is Saturday ,spare some time at the weekly interesting market of Lalibela.

    Day 11: Fly Lalibela – Addis + Departure

    Fly back to AddisAbaba afternoon at leisureand then transfer to Bole International Airport fly back home.
