Day 1: Drive Addis Abeba - Awash National Park
Drive to the south east of Addis Abeba passing through Debre Zeit, Modjo, Nazareth, Metehara and then to the Awash National park bordered by the Awash River and its spectacular Waterfalls and the deep rugged gigantic gorges. Game view drive and overnight Awash Hotel.
NB: Taking its name from the Awash River, Awash National Park is one of Ethiopia’s most popular national parks in Ethiopia with an excellent array of birdlife, volcanic landscapes and dry acacia savannah. The birdlife of the park consists of over 400 species from golden-backed woodpeckers to thick-billed raven and wattled ibis. Other animals that are rarely seen but do exist within the park include leopards, lions, jackals and the colombus monkeys.
Day 2: Drive Awash National Park – Harar
Drive to Harar, the 16th century old walled city, Where the Somalis, the Oromos and other tribes gather for marketing with their camel caravans .The visit of Harar includes, the 10th century palace of Emperor Hailesilase, the house of the French poet Arthur Rimbaud and The Harari Museum.
At Night you will visit the hyena man, who feeds the hyenas every night just out side the walls of the city. This tradition was started long ago to prevent these wild hyenas from hunting
for food in the town. Gusts are welcome and encouraged to feed the hyenas themselves.

Day 3: Dire Dawa
Drive to Dire Dawa and visit the largest market of Dire Kefira, often attended by rural Oromo and Afar in traditional garb, the Awadai chat market and the Ethio – Djibouti railway station.
Overnight: Smart Hotel
Day 4: Fly from Dire Dawa - Addis Abeba
Fly back to Addis, and transfer to Bole International airport for your departure.
